Family Visits

The Wallace Collection welcomes families throughout the year.

Family Activities

The Collection has a range of online resources available for families, with activities to do at home with children aged 6-11 years. See the full range on our Resources page.

The Magic Horn at the Wallace Collection.

Has an artwork ever COME TO LIFE and spoken to you? Enter the Wallace Collection to solve the mystery of the missing Magic Horn! Join the secret Order of the Horn and come on a magical mission to meet The Laughing Cavalier, Madame de Pompadour and more in this new two-part interactive game. The Magic Horn at the Wallace Collection can be downloaded from the Google Play and App Stores and can be played at the Museum or at home.

Toilets and Baby Change Facilities

Public toilets, including an accessible toilet with a baby changing station, are located on the lower ground floor of the Museum. Lift access is available to all floors.

Feeding and Seating

Breast-feeding is allowed anywhere in the Collection. Folding portable stools are available, please ask a member of staff for assistance. Seating will be available for those who are less able to stand, including those with mobility issues and women who are pregnant.

If you anticipate needing to sit during your visit, please pick up a folding stool from the entrance at the start of your visit. All stools will be throughly cleaned between each user.

Eating and Drinking

Unfortunately the Wallace Restaurant is currently closed. Families are welcome to bring food with them, but no food is allowed to be eaten in the galleries.

Touching

Most of the Collection is on open display, but touching objects can cause unseen damage. We ask visitors not to touch objects on open display, and not to touch anything unnecessarily while we are operating within government guidelines to help halt the spread of Covid-19.
